- Collection of botanical specimens according to the recommendations of Lot and Chiang (1986) for the DNA sample, the tissue was placed in 8.5 x 9 cm polyethylene bags, with hermetic closure, and approximately 10 g of silica gel beads with indicator. 90/10 methyl violet, to promote drying (Chase and Hills, 1991).
