Description

A checklist of Lesvos Island’s (East Aegean, Greece) alien (non-native) plant species that has been compiled by literature and a roadside survey. In total 187 non-native plant taxa were recorded, belonging to 60 families and 135 genera.

Literature review and a roadside survey

Method steps

Literature review involved various sources including peer-reviewed journals, dedicated floras, plant checklists, and relational databases. The roadside survey included all main and secondary roads, as well as several mountainous, agricultural, riparian, and coastal footpaths.
