Description

Vermont specimen records of bees, excluding Bombus and Xylocopa, from the Zadock Thompson Zoological Collection at the University of Vermont. Specimens were identified and labels digitized between 2019 and 2021 as part the Vermont Wild Bee Survey. Identifications done by Sam Droege and Spencer Hardy, additional species-level identifications will be added as they are completed. Study Extent

Primarily Vermont with some specimens from northeastern, US

Sampling

Various - a mix of incidental student collections and specific sampling events. Most from unknown sampling methods.

Quality Control

Most species level identifications by Sam Droege. Metadata transcribed by volunteers and checked by Spencer Hardy.
