The purpose of this project is to produce a comprehensive integrative study of the snake genus Mimophis. These snakes have one of the largest distribution on the island of Madagascar, where they are endemic. Until 2017, this genus was considered as monotypic and represented by the species M. mahfalensis. The M. occultus species, recently described, is only distinguishable by molecular and geographical data and its status still in debate. We thus focus our effort on the morphological data and introduce for the first time an integrative study of the population of the Highlands. For this study, we generated a morphological dataset for 200 specimens of the MNHN (Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle, Paris) and the ZSM (Zoologische Staatssammlung München). The timespan is 2017-07-01 to 2018-03-21.Taxonomic Coverages
