The dataset contains data on the distribution of 51 species of waterfowl, obtained as a result of 93 expeditionary field studies.
Sampling Description
Study Extent
The materials were collected in the years 2016-2021 in the Dnipro-Molochna interfluve within the southern part of the Kherson region (Genicheskyi, Novotroitskyi, Ivanivskyi, Kakhovskyi and Chaplinskyi districts) during expeditionary research jointly with Gavrylenko V. S. and Mezinov O. S.Sampling
To study the species composition and number of avifauna complexes, a model range of different areas of meadow ecosystems was selected, the bottoms of which differ in the presence or absence of permanent water mirrors and nature management regimes: pastural, mowed, fish breeding, protected. In order to determine the waterfowl species of artificially created reservoirs of various purposes along the coastline, route records were carried out. On the slopes and unflooded bottoms of the pits, a visual inspection was carried out from high points.Quality Control
The author of the material is fully responsible for the quality of the data provided within the dataset.Method steps
