Description

Entomological Cerambycidae collection of the KarU Nature Museum were supplemented for 50 years by
materials of students summer field practices. The collection work began under the guidance of professor N.P. Shlykov, and later professor N.G. Skopin and professor B.N. Mukhachev. Some of the species were obtained as a result of the exchange of collection samples with other entomologists. At the present here are 80 species of longhorn beetles in collection , among which there are pest species, species of aesthetic significance, endemics of Central Kazakhstan and rare species from other regions of the planet.
