Description

Changnienia amoena was first identified in the central Chinese province of Henan on March 23rd, 2021. Dubbed as the "panda of the plant world", it is a species native to China, usually found in Jiangxi, Jiangsu, Sichuan, Shaanxi, Anhui, Hunan, Zhejiang, Hubei provinces, China. This flowering plant was listed in the IUCN Red List as ENDANGERED on April 30th, 2004. Before this occurrence, this plant was also found in 2015 in Changde, Hunan, and 2017 in Gansu.
