We collected fairy shrimp (Anostraca: Chirocephalidae) from 25 vernal pools in Vermont, USA during spring in 2022 through 2024. Two species were recorded: Knob-lipped Fairy Shrimp (Eubranchipus bundyi), which was previously recorded in Vermont, and Intricate Fairy Shrimp or Smooth-lipped Fairy Shrimp (Eubranchipus intricatus), a new state record. Both species are widespread across North America, but the Intricate Fairy Shrimp is considered rare in nearby Massachusetts, where it is listed as a “Species of Special Concern.”
