BIOSKAG-collections

Description

Spatial and temporal data (EVENT DATA) from a total of 178 sampling events of marine benthic invertebrates from two sampling project periods: 27 events from coastal areas near Arendal and deeper parts of Skagerrak collected in June 2006 with research vessel R/V “G.M. Dannevig”. The sampling was organised by Christoffer Schander, University of Bergen. 151 events from deep areas of Skagerrak collected in May 2009 with research vessel R/V “Håkon Mosby”. The sampling was organised by Christoffer Schander, University of Bergen in collaboration with the the Swedish Species Information Centre.

This dataset is deliberately published WITHOUT OCCURRENCES. The dataset describes collaborative collecting efforts during marine expeditions. The collected material is deposited in the national university museum collections in Norway. Many of the museum specimens are not yet digitized (status per 2018) but will be linked to these datasets using the corresponding eventID when they are published in GBIF.
