The distribution area of this species has been studied for over four years. The database comprises collections of biological samples (leaves and bark) as well as incidental observations. The majority of locations are situated on the mainland of Vietnam, primarily concentrated in the following areas (in descending order of frequency): nature reserves, protection forests, and production forests. Throughout the survey, 117 specimens were identified, with a predominant concentration observed in the Northern and Central Highlands of Vietnam.Sampling Description
Study Extent
The majority of locations are situated on the mainland of Vietnam, primarily concentrated in the following areas (in descending order of frequency): nature reserves, protection forests, and production forests. Throughout the survey, 117 specimens were identified, with a predominant concentration observed in the Northern and Central Highlands of Vietnam.Sampling
The geographical coordinates of these localities were recorded by using Global Positioning System (Garmin 64S) with WGS84 coordinate system. All samples were collected by hand, then it were transported to the laboratory at the Join Vietnam-Russia Tropical Science and Technology Research Center in a plastic containers. To identify the characteristics of the comprehensive transcriptome of C. parthenoxylon and to develop a large number of expressed sequence tag-SSR (EST-SSR) markers, the root, leaf and stem tissue was collected from C. parthenoxylon trees in a wild population in 08 Forestry ecological zone in Vietnam. All samples were immediately frozen individually in liquid nitrogen and stored at -80 °C until RNA extraction.Quality Control
In survey, identification of species was carried out using original descriptions of species (Pham 1999). We thanks the Department of Tropical Ecology/ Joint Vietnam-Russia Tropical Science and Technology Research Center for their help in collecting the material.Method steps
- The data has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 117 material specimens belonging to 01 species from 117 locations.
