Description

Invertebrate (insects, molluscs, arachnids, crustaceans) from sub-habitats within the developing wood-meadow ecosystem created de novo. Absences are not recorded. Records collected to establish the biodiversity of the wood-meadow as it develops over time.

Sampling Description

Quality Control

There is a high level of confidence in the quality of all aspects of data capture: the data source, processing, validation and record collation. The majority of the data have been collected by professional entomologists and identified by them or acknowledged authorities where required.

Method steps

  1. The records are of specimens collected in the field and identified in the laboratory. Larger taxa (e.g. dragonflies) were identified from photographs.
