Description

This is Sampling Event dataset. It consists of occurrence and abundance data of 44 species, 31 genus, 12 families of Collembola. The study was carried out in July 2013, in the Padimeiskie lakes territory on the Bolshezemelskaya tundra. Here one can find 15 sampling events with 127 occurrences.

Sampling Description

Study Extent

The study was carried out in July 2013, in the Padimeiskie lakes territory on the Bolshezemelskaya tundra.

Sampling

The research was conducted at 15 sampling sites, wich were combined into six main type vegetation of southern tundras.

Method steps

  1. Five samples were collected from each of the sampling sites using a frame measuring 5 cm on each side (25 cm2) and having a depth of 5 cm, making a total of 75 samples of both soil and the overlying vegetation. Springtails were extracted using a Tullgren apparatus, and species were identified using the Fjellberg (1998,2007) and Potapov (2001) keys.

Taxonomic Coverages

At the territory of Padimeiskie lakes we revealed 44 species, 31 genus, 12 families of Collembola.
  1. Collembola
    common name: Collembola rank: order

Geographic Coverages

The Padimeiskie lakes are the large group of water mostly of glacial origin, located in the southern tundra (European North East of Russia, Bolshezemelskaya tundra)
