The effect of natural beech forest substitution by spruce plantations (16-years, 35-years, 75-years with beech and 80-years old) on the edaphic Collembola communities of the Eastern Carpathians (Ukraine) was studied. A total of 126 springtail species was reported from studied forests. Anthropogenic substitution of region investigated forests causes decrease in species diversity and visible reconstruction in dominance structure of Collembola communities.
