Distribution of amphibians listed in Red Data Book of Ukraine according to literature data

Study Extent

Coordinates of the findings of amphibians listed in Red Data Book of Ukraine were made according to the publication (material was cited): Писанец Е.М., Литвинчук С.Н., Куртяк Ф.Ф., Радченко В.И. // Земноводные Красной книги Украины (Справочник-кадастр). - К.: Зоомузей ННПМ НАН Украины, 2005. 230 с. This dataset was prepared (correctly organized according to Darwin Core standards) and published with the help of the project "Preservation of data on biodiversity of Ukraine during the Russian occupation" funded by "Documenting Ukraine" initiative. The initiative is financed by the Institute for Human Sciences in Vienna (https://www.iwm.at/).

Sampling

The study includes the identification of reliable literature sources, including information on the distribution of amphibians in Ukraine, containing accurate information on the sites of species detection and has an analytical component (the authors checked the authenticity of the findings, analyzed their relevance at the time of publication). Coordinates of localities are established by verbal descriptions and toponyms.

Quality Control

The authors are responsible for the quality of data provided within the dataset.

1. Identification of coordinates according to the description or taking coordinates that are already mentioned in the literature resource.
2. Organizing of the dataset.

Dataset consists of finds of amphibians (Amphibia) from batrachofauna of Ukraine.
