Study Extent
Murchinson Falls National Park & Bugungu Wildlife Reserve. Sample sites were grouped by region : North Park West, North Park East, South Park West, South Park Central and Bugungu Wildlife Reserve.Sampling
A physical survey of 43 circular plots of 700 m2 placed near but out of the sphere of influence of the available access roads in the Park: 24 north of the Victoria Nile and 19 south of the Victoria Nile including 6 in the Bugungu Wildlife Reserve Field. Data were captured manually.Method steps
- Establishement of circular plots
- Within the plot: identification & recording of all identifiable woody, forb and liana species below 2 meters
