Original provider: Outer Banks Center for Dolphin Research Dataset credits: Outer Banks Center for Dolphin Research Abstract: Data were collected through a combination of dedicated and opportunistic effort by the Outer Banks Center for Dolphin Research. Survey coverage includes sound waters adjacent to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the seasonal movement patterns of bottlenose dolphins in the sounds surrounding the Outer Banks, North Carolina using photo-identification. Supplemental information: [2015-01-23] the data in 2013 were added on 2015-01-23. [UPDATE] the data in 2010 through 2012 were added on 2013-02-20.

Purpose

The purpose of this study is to examine the seasonal movement patterns of bottlenose dolphins in the sounds surrounding the Outer Banks, North Carolina using photo-identification.
