There are 752 weeds records from UPNG Herbarium. These weeds have been collected throughout New Guinea by researchers, students and staff from the University of Papua New Guinea.Sampling Description
Study Extent
The weeds data presented were collected randomly throughout New Guinea by researchers, students and staff from the University of Papua New Guinea.Sampling
Weeds were uprooted and also cut using plant cutters.Quality Control
Soil was shaken and washed off from the roots of the weeds, pressed in clean newspaper and dried.Method steps
- Weeds were collected from the field, pressed, dried and mounted with field labels. The information from the mounted weeds specimens were entered into the computer. The Darwin Core Terms were used for sorting, cleaning and standardising the weeds data for publishing.
