Version 1.1. Institut national de recherche pour l’agriculture, l’alimentation et l’environnement (INRAE). Occurrence dataset https://doi.org/10.15468/djvz3w accessed via GBIF.org on 2022-05-22.

Description

Adult shad have been monitored since 1994 by trapping at the Moulin de Tan, with the upstream and downstream traps operating year-round. The configuration of the traps allows only a partial capture according to the flow. A second trap downstream of the Moulin de Leslé installed for the trapping of salmon smolts (April-May) allows the accidental capture of a few adult shad. Phenology and biological traits of migrating adult shad (alosa alosa) sampled by trapping during the survey in the Scorff River (France). In the downstream part of the river Scorff, a trapping system (2 traps downstream, one trap upstream) allows to monitor the migration of adult shad (alosa alosa). On this occasion, biometric characteristics are developed to characterize the population in order to feed this data set. They are measured, weighed, sexed and their tissues and scales are taken. The survey is carried out within the framework of the Research Observatory on Diadromous Fishes of Coastal Rivers (ORE DiaPFC).
