Description

During an examination of Therevidae material in Belgian collections and reading the checklist of 1991 it became apparent the current checklist needs revising. This article gives an overview of all available material in the collections of Brussels and Gembloux as well as the private collections made available to us.

The public collections of Koningklijk Belgisch Instituut voor Natuurwetenschappen, Brussels (KBIN) and University of Liege, Gembloux (ULGB) were examined.

Quality Control

All material listed in this dataset can be traced down in the respective collections of Brussels or Gembloux. All collected material examined for this publication that is present in the public collections bears an identification label stating the name of the species in full, gender and: ‘Det. E. de Bree 2016’.
