Data on the distribution of Irish hoverflies collected primarily by Dr Martin Speight & Dr Tom Gittings, and collated by the National Biodiversity Data Centre

Understanding the geographic distribution of syrphids (hoverflies) in Ireland.

Quality Control

All data has been validated by an expert (either Dr Martin Speight or Dr Tom Gittings).

Method steps

  1. Field observations and malaise trapping. Supported by specimens in some cases.
