This small dataset is held at BRC and covers six species of Ciid beetles. The Ciidae family is mainly associated with fungi growing on dead and dying trees. The dataset is derived mainly from record cards and the literature.Purpose

Data were validated by the collators and also on conversion to electronic format.Method steps
- Most of the records in this dataset came from record cards where the conversion to electronic format occurred at BRC.

This small dataset contains records from throughout the British Isles. Recording is strongest in the SE of England and patchy elsewhere.
