The first mention of invasive species of hydrobionts in the hydroecosystems of the Tyumen region was in July 1989. Currently, we are collecting information on more than 10 invasive species of hydrobionts. Most of the finds belong to the south of the Tyumen region (the Tura river, the Pyshma river, the cooling pond of the Tyumen CHPP-1). Some finds were discovered when moving north, in the Irtysh River. This publication presents data on findings of invasive species from 1989 to 2021, which relate to 10 species. All types of data processing available in the collection of the Institute for the Development of the North.
The research was funded by RFBR and Tyumen Region, project number 20-44-720008
Sampling Description
Study Extent
The data set was prepared during the work on the project "Modeling a monitoring system for the biological diversity of aquatic ecosystems in the Tyumen region" at the Institute for the Development of the North.Sampling
Information about sample identity and identification history, location, date of collection and collector was taken from hydrobiological cards and recorded on a MS Excel spreadsheet. The samples were geo-referenced using Google Maps or Yandex Maps. For some specimens, latitude and longitude are indicated in the observation protocols.Quality Control
The original identification was verified for each specimen. Taxonomy matching was performed using the GBIF Species Matching tool.Method steps
- The sampling of zooperiphyton at the stations with the current was mainly carried out from the dump stones, in the discharge channel on concrete slabs using a peripheral scraper, and from macrophytes in the reach. The samples were fixed with a 4% formaldehyde solution and disassembled under a binocular microscope.
