Scientific collection of arthropods crustaceans from Natural History Museum of the Iberian Peninsula (NatMIP), Portugal.

Sampling Description

Study Extent

The sampled crustacean specimens represent surveys of Minho River biodiversity, aiming to safeguard and preserve biological material for further surveys.

Sampling

i) Glass eel fishing bycatch; ii) By hand; iii) Van Veen grab sampler; iv) Beam trawl; v) Fyke nets; vi) Trammel nets

Quality Control

All samples in the Arthropod Crustacean Collection of Natural History Museum of the Iberian Peninsula (NatMIP) were verified primarily by Nuno Gomes.

Method steps

Most samples were collected in previous studies, which have been taxonomically studied in recent manuscripts, since 2021.
