Sampling Description

Study Extent

The research was conducted during 2003-2021 in Chernihiv and Kyiv regions: Desna riverbed and its tributaries, namely Snov, Seym, Rod, Oster, Bilous and their floodplains. Some of the expeditions were supported by the Institute of Hydrobiology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Sampling

The main sampling was carried out from thickets of higher aquatic vegetation and also included samples from other substrates (stones, wood), benthos samples. The sampling stations were geolocated.

Quality Control

The author is fully available for the quality of data provided within the dataset.

Method steps

  1. 1. Making samples on the sampling (investigation) stations.
  2. 2. Species determinations.
  3. 3. Georeferencing.

Taxonomic Coverages

Representatives of the following taxonomic groups were identified: Hirudinea, Bivalvia, Gastropoda, Amphipoda, Crustacea, Heteroptera, Ephemeroptera, Trichoptera, Odonata, Chironomidae, Coleoptera, Lepidoptera.
