Description

The dataset includes a list of moss species registered in surrounding area of Novosibirsk akademgorodok. The area is an elevated plain with altitudes of up to 210 m. Zonal vegetation is represented by pine and birch forests of Brachypodio pinnati–Betuletea pendulae class. Samples are in NSK (USU 440537). The work is under support of RFBR № 18-04-00822.

Geographic Coverages

The territory is located at the junction of the Altai-Sayan mountain region and the West Siberian Plain. It includes the floodplain and terraces of the Ob River and the watershed. The surface is composed by sands and subaerial loams and sandy loams. Pine and birch forests of Brachypodio pinnati–Betuletea pendulae class prevail here. The climate is sharply continental, with significant differences in annual and daily temperatures. The average annual temperature is about 0°C, average annual precipitation is about 400 mm.
