Method steps

1. The material was collected from the sweeping net with an aspirator and killed with ethyl acetate vapour.
2. For long-term storage, the material is placed on layers of cotton.
3. The bulk of the material was stuffed onto pinned glue boards, and in cases where too many specimens were collected, they were separated by sex, counted and placed in entomological pin-mounted gelatin capsules and polypropylene tubes. Where necessary, some male specimens were dissected and the entire genital capsule was excised and dissected to view the identifying characters of the genital apparatus.
4. The material is identified using the most recent literature.
5. The material is databased using Specify 7 Collection software. The software generated three labels for each collection item: 1. collection event data; 2. determination; 3. individual collection object number and QR code. The labels were cut using a cutting plotter and mounted to the pins of the collection objects.
