Bats in Zambia Project

Description

This dataset contains bat monitoring data collected by the ‘Bats in Zambia’ bat conservation and research project.

Purpose

The purpose of creating this and other datasets under the "Mobilising Bat Occurrence Data in Zambia" project was to try and collate and publish all available occurrence data relating to Zambian bat specimens that was not already published on GBIF. This is with the further aim of producing an atlas of all Zambian bat species. It is hoped that this will result in improved understanding of bat diversity and distribution in Zambia and ultimately improved conservation planning and implementation.
