Description

El proyecto tiene como objetivo desarrollar un inventario faunístico de las abejas de Yucatán. Se establecerá una colección entomológica con los especimenes (25 mil, aprox.), y una base de datos de las especies identificadas. Se espera encontrar y determinar taxonómicamente 70 especies de abejas y relacionarlas con información de su distribución geográfica, temporal y plantas en las que se colectó el insecto. Adicionalmente se registrarán abejas colectadas en cultivos agrícolas para proponer su uso potencial como polinizadores manejados.
