Inventario taxonómico de los hongos conidales saprobios del parque Yumka' en Villahermosa, Tabasco

El presente proyecto tiene como objetivo central la creación de una base de datos sobre las especies de hongos conidiales saprobias que se colecten a lo largo de un año en el parque Yumka' en el estado de Tabasco. Los hongos junto con los insectos son considerados como organismos megadiversos. Se calcula que existen aproximadamente 1.5 millones de especies, en particular las formas microscópicas comprenden mas del 70% de las especies del Reino Fungi. Entre las especies microscópicas sobresalen por su abundancia y diversidad los hongos conidiales; aunque hay especies ubicadas en diferentes divisiones taxonómicas, la mayoría se encuentra dentro de los Deuteromycetes u hongos imperfectos debido a que no se les conoce su reproducción sexual. En México el conocimiento de la diversidad de los taxa microscópicos se ha concentrado en especies de importancia patológica, las especies saprobias han sido escasamente trabajadas, a pesar de su potencial como organismos productores de enzimas y de metabolitos secundarios.
