Description

This data set gives all occurrences of marine oligochaetes in the Southern Ocean mentioned in the literature, from 1888 (first mention) until 2009. 25 species were mentioned, representative of three families, namely the Capilloventridae (1 genus, 1 species), the Enchytraeidae (3 genera, 16 species) and the Tubificidae. The latter family includes 3 subfamilies, the Rhyacodrilinae (1 genus, 1 species + 1 undetermined), the Phallodrilinae (3 genera, 5 species) and the Limnodriloidinae (1 genus, 1 species).
