This dataset contains occurrences of bat ectoparasites (ticks, mite, and batflies) as well as some of the host species (bats) from the University of the Philippines Los Baños Museum of Natural History. These collections are published as part of the BIFA6_026 project and covers collections dating back from the 1970s to the present.Sampling Description

Taxonomic Coverages
Most of the ectoparasites were identified up to the species level with some even in the subspecies level.

Geographic Coverages
This dataset covers bat collections of the UPLB MNH Entomological Museum and Zoological and Wildlife Museum in selected sites of the Philippines. Currently, the dataset contains collections from certain localities in the following provinces: Bataan, Cagayan, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Rizal, Laguna, Quezon, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Palawan, Negros Oriental, and Leyte
