Description

A list of the tracheophyte names accepted in "List of Species of Vascular Plants of Moscow Flora" (Shcherbakov & Lyubeznova, 2018). This dataset covers Moscow Oblast and the City of Moscow outside the Moscow Ring Road (MKAD), i.e. within the borders of Moscow Oblast of 1960-1969. The dataset was compiled as a first step towards further processing of the modern checklist for Moscow Oblast, Russia.

Stable archival version (not edited, not curated).

The dataset includes 2,016 accepted species names which are indicated in the original source for any districts beside "Ms" (i.e. the City of Moscow within the Moscow Ring Road). It is overloaded with hundreds of cultivated plants unknown as escapes. No indications on their true status is given in the original source. Three species from the original source (i.e. Medicago caerulea Less. ex Ledeb., Oxalis dillenii Jacq., Heliopsis helianthoides (L.) Sweet) are excluded due to missing of any district records.

Several minor orthographic errors in either scientific names or their authors were corrected manually. Some names were not automatically cross-linked with the GBIF backbone.
