A list of the tracheophyte names accepted in the paper "Spisok Flory Nizhegorodskoy Oblasti v Predelakh Basseina Reki Oki" [= List of Flora of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast within the Oka River Вasin] (Kazakova et al., 2023). The source covers SW part of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast (i.e. within the Oka River Вasin). The dataset was compiled as a first step towards further processing of the modern checklist for Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Russia.

Stable archival version (not edited, not curated).

The dataset includes 1,453 accepted species names. It is heavily overloaded with hundreds of cultivated plants from the City of Nizhny Novgorod unknown as escapes. No indications on their true status is given in the original source. "Amelanchier floribunda" and "Tritonia ×hybrida" were excluded as unresolved informal names used in horticulture.

Also, original source is completely lacking authors of scientific names. They were added semi-automatically from other datasets based upon original sources by the same authors (i.e. https://doi.org/10.15468/7286ys; https://doi.org/10.15468/kps96e; https://doi.org/10.15468/fjn66y, etc.) and ammended manually.

Several minor orthographic errors in either scientific names or their authors were corrected manually. Some names were not automatically cross-linked with the GBIF backbone.
