Description

The dataset provides information about small mammals recorded during small mammals' studies in Luhansk Region.

Sampling Description

Study Extent

Small mammals were recorded during regular surveys of researchers from Luhansk SES and occasionally by partner organizations (Luhansk Nature Reserve).

Sampling

For typical survey snap-traps were used, usually with 50-100 traps placed in line. All animals were identified to species and examined for diseases (tularemia etc.). The paper datasets were digitized by V. Kuznetsov. Georeferencing was done by M. Marushchak using textual description of the locality.

Quality Control

The author is fully responsible for the quality of the information provided in the dataset.

Method steps

  1. Conducting of material collecting using traps.
  2. Species identification.
  3. Digitalizing of the dataset.
  4. Georeferencing.
