The Musée Vert is the natural history museum of the city of Le Mans (France). It holds several collections of mounted birds specimens of the 19th and 20th centuries like : collection Abel Martin, Eugène Lamoureux, Jarossay, Théophile Guillaumin, Elie Cottereau, Gustave Toupiolle, Emmanuel Morin, Louis Maulny and Albert Le Bihan for a total of 1598 specimens. Most of the birds have been collected in western France. There is also some specimens given by the MNHN Paris during the XIXe century which have been collected by Stathouder William V - Prince of Orange-Nassau, Pierre Antoine Delalande, Auguste Saint Hilaire, Louis Théodore Leschenault, Georg Heinrich von Langsdorff, Alfred Duvaucel, Pierre Médard Diard, Jean Guillaume Hyde de Neuville et Louis Antoine Baillon.Taxonomic Coverages
