Study Extent

The extent of this study is confined to the collections which have already been donated to the Barbados Museum.

Sampling

For the BMHS, there is no field sampling. Specimens are donated to the museum.

Method steps

  1. Each specimen has an ownership record, is classified, photographed and entered into the database.

Geographic Coverages

The Barbados Museum and Historical Society is located within the Barbados UNESCO World Heritage site of Bridgetown and it's Garrison. Formerly a military prison for the British, it was converted to a museum in 1933.
