Propuesta de actualización del Catálogo de Autoridades Taxonómicas (CAT) de Lepidoptera: Heterócera para la Península de Yucatán

A partir de nuevas técnicas de apoyo para estudiar la filogenia, como es el caso de las técnicas moleculares, la clasificación del grupo de Lepidopteros ha sido modificada. Autoridades taxonómicas como J.D. Laffontaine, E.J. van Nieukerken, N. Wahlberg y R. Zahiri entre otros han trabajado en reagrupar familias de heterócera mostrando una propuesta de nueva clasificación para el grupo, en particular para aquellas especies distribuidas en regiones templadas. El sistema de Bold como herramienta auxiliar para la identificación ha contado con la participación de algunas de estas autoridades permitiendo tener mas claridad para la clasificación de especies atribuidas a las distintas familias. Con ello hemos podido detectar la necesidad de actualizar los catálogos existentes para México, en particular una propuesta para las especies registradas en la PY y los cuales forman parte de el SNIB. En esta propuesta se trabajará con referencia a lo presentado en el Sistema Bold e incluirán modificaciones con base en la literatura correspondiente, documentando los cambios sugeridos. En total se entregará la propuesta para las familias: Acrolophidae, Attevidae, Bombycidae, Castniidae, Coleophoridae, Cossidae, Crambidae, Elachistidae, Erebidae, Euteliidae, Gelechiidae, Geometridae, Gracillariidae, Hyblaeidae, Lasiocampidae, Limacodidae, Megalopygidae, Mimallonidae, Noctuidae, Nolidae, Notodontidae, Phiditiidae, Pyralidae, Saturniidae, Sphingidae, Thyrididae, Tortricidae y Uraniidae. Esta primera aproximación de catálogo de heterócera será referencia para su uso en proyectos que reporten especies de este grupo para México, en espera de darle continuidad y obtener así un catálogo de Lepidoptera para todo el país.
