Within a survey area of approximately 66 sq km to the south and east of Inverness, a total of 191 badger setts was found, including 33 extant main setts. Each of the latter is synonymous with a distinct badger social group.Purpose
The survey provided a comprehensive snapshot of badger presence and helps inform a strategic badger conservation and development plan for Inverness which addresses spatial and temporal issues and include integrated multi-development mitigation measures for badgers.Sampling Description
