Method steps

  1. The forest plot was grided into 600 20m×20m subplots based on CTFS’s plot census method (http://www.ctfs.si.edu). Then all free standing woody trees with diameter at breast height (DBH) ≥ 1 cm were spatially mapped, tagged and identified to species following standard census protocol of CTFS (Condit 1998).
