Actualización de la colección poliquetológica de la Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León

La Facultad de Ciencias Biológicas de la Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, alberga una de las tres colecciones poliquetológicas mas grandes e importantes de México, desde el punto de vista del número de registros y cantidad de especies depositadas. Recientemente, un problema con la climatización del área de la colección, trajo consigo un proceso de contaminación por Aspergillus, y la pérdida de algunos especimenes depositados. El objeto de este proyecto es hacer un diagnostico del estado actual de la colección, depurar la base de datos con cambios nomenclaturales y sinonimias, e incrementar su acervo con material biológico recolectado en zonas del país no analizadas con anterioridad, se cuenta con mas de 1000 nuevos registros y mas de 10000 ejemplares en diferentes niveles de curación para lograr esto último.
