Description

Lobaria pulmonaria is conspicuous epiphytic lichen and has been widely used as an indicator of undisturbed forest ecosystems and forest areas of a high ecological continuity. In the past century, the distribution of Lobaria pulmonaria has become highly fragmented showing a decline across Europe, especially in densely populated and industrial areas. The distribution of Lobaria pulmonaria in Russia is studied only for some areas even for European part of Russia (Pystina, Semenova, 2004; Chobadze, 2005; Ivanova, Nemchinova, 2008; Istomina, 2008; Kravchenko, Fadeeva, 2008; Notov, Volkova, 2008). The aim of this work was to summarize data about the distribution of Lobaria pulmonaria in Russia on united information system. Database structure is described in (Shashkov, Ivanova, 2012 doi: 10.17537/2012.7.334). We collected information about distribution of Lobaria pulmonaria from available scientific literature, herbarium collections, own field investigations, personal communications. Common list of data base sources is available http://lobaria.ru/?q=sources. The study was supported by the Russian Foundation of Basic Research, project №16-34-00866
