Description

Since 2012, the Laboratoire d'ornithologie marine de Rimouski (LOMR) has implemented an annual monitoring program of the feeding behaviour of gannets (Morus bassanus) nesting in Bonaventure Island and Percé Rock National Park (more specifically on Bonaventure Island). The LOMR is directed by Magella Guillemette (professor at the Université du Québec à Rimouski) in collaboration with David Pelletier (professor at the Cégep de Rimouski). Several dozen college and university students (undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate) participated in collecting these data. The data in this dataset is from 2016. On the SLGO catalogue, you will find datasets up to 2017. More recent data can be requested from LOMR by contacting the authors of the data. The locations were recorded using GPS data loggers, programmed at a frequency of 10 minutes and attached to the bird's tails with Tesa brand marine grade white tape.

Depuis 2012, le Laboratoire d'ornithologie marine de Rimouski (LOMR) a mis en place un programme de suivi annuel du comportement alimentaire des fous de Bassan (Morus bassanus) nichant dans le parc national de l'Île-Bonaventure-et-du-Rocher-Percé (plus spécifiquement sur l'île Bonaventure). Le LOMR est dirigé par Magella Guillemette (professeur à l'Université du Québec à Rimouski) en collaboration avec David Pelletier (professeur au Cégep de Rimouski). Plusieurs dizaines d'étudiant.e.s des niveaux collégial et universitaire (1er, 2e et 3e cycles) ont participé la collecte de ces données. Les données présentes dans ce jeu de données sont celles de 2016. Sur le catalogue de l'OGSL, vous trouverez les jeux de données allant jusqu'à 2017. Les donnés plus récentes peuvent être demandées au LOMR en contactant les auteurs des données. Les localisations ont été enregistrées à l'aide de consignateurs de données GPS, programmés à une fréquence de 10 minutes et fixés sur la queue des oiseaux avec du ruban adhésif blanc de grade marin de marque Tesa.
