This dataset contains a list of species of Caulerpales (genera Avrainvillea, Chlorodesmis, Halimeda and Udotea) and herbarium vouchers sampled off the Kenyan coast during the period July 1985- September 1989. Sampling of Caulerpales was done by snorkeling and material was collected in plastic bags. All specimens were determined using light microscopy. Most part of the material was also collected in a herbarium. The data were digitized by VLIZ from the original report: Verellen, A. (1990). Avrainvillea, Chlorodesmis, Halimeda, Udotea: Caulerpales (Chlorophya) van de Keniaanse kust; Avrainvillea, Chlorodesmis, Halimeda, Udotea: Caulerpales (Chlorophya) of the Kenyan coast. MSc Thesis.
