Description

The database includes finds of freshwater fish species on the section of the Southern Bug river, which runs on the territory of Buzk's Gard National Nature Park. The studied territory is situated between Myhija hydro is intermediate between Myhiya hydroelectric station and Oleksandriia hydroelectric station.

Sampling Description

Study Extent

Fish species from Southern Bug river registered in August 2019 are shown in the dataset.

Sampling

Sampling was conducted in August 2019 (11.08 - 15.08) within the Pervomaiskyj, Arbuzynskyj and Bogdanovskyj districts of Mykolaiv region on a riverbed of the Southern Bug river on the territory of Buzk's Gard National Nature Park between Myhija town and the city of Yuzhnoukrainsk.

Quality Control

The author is fully responsible for the information provided within the published dataset. Translation to english and some minor mistakes' correction were made by Oleksii Marushchak.

Method steps

  1. Control samplings were carried out using a fishing net with a 5 mm mesh. A total of 111 individuals of different species of fish were recorded.
  2. Identification of species.
  3. Georeferencing of the findings.
