Description

The project "Open biodiversity data: serving nature conservation in Ukraine" is supported by the Rufford Foundation and is aimed on collecting data on biodiversity in Ukraine by specialists of the Ukrainian Nature Conservation Group (UNCG) for publication in GBIF. The project became especially relevant in connection with the invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine, which led to many threats to rare species in different parts of Ukraine.

Sampling Description

Study Extent

During this project, participants organized expeditionary research and documented the presence of species in the areas identified by the project in the priority regions.

Sampling

The species presence was recorded after their identification (visual, audial, based on derivative material).

Quality Control

The authors are responsible for the quality of data provided within the dataset.

Georeferencing.
Organizing of the dataset according to the Darwin Core standards.
