Description

執行科技部計畫「人為干擾對都市林大赤鼯鼠棲所選擇、生理狀況與繁殖的影響」於台中市霧峰區及太平區調查大赤鼯鼠的捕捉地點及日期。

每1至2週的白天巡視全部巢箱1次,如發現大赤鼯鼠棲息於巢箱內時,則以長竿及雙層尼龍網套捕抓

Method steps

  1. 本研究透過巢箱使用來探討人為噪音和光害對大赤鼯鼠巢位選擇的影響。自2017年6月1日至2020年6月1日共架設175個巢箱(A樣區:31個、B樣區: 35個、C樣區30個、D樣區35個、E樣區13個、F樣區35個),洞口直徑均為8.5公分。巢箱彼此間距約為15至40公尺,架設高度位於樹高約2至5公尺處,架設樹種包含檳榔、龍眼、楓香(Liquidambar formosana)、鐵刀木、臺灣欒樹(Koelreuteria elegans)、黑板樹(Alstonia scholaris)、光臘樹等。 巡視巢箱時,如發現大赤鼯鼠棲息於巢箱內時,則以長竿及雙層尼龍網套捕抓。先將大赤鼯鼠於尼龍網內固定後,以0.2 mL Zoletil 50 (Virbac, France)注入其後腿肌肉進行麻醉,並記錄麻醉生效所需的時間,當麻醉生效後,將其置於棉布上,在麻醉生效後3分鐘內抽取約0.5 mL血液並記錄其肛溫,之後放入寵物運輸籠中帶回室內進行後續操作。帶回室內並將大赤鼯鼠取出後,使用晶片掃描器確認捕抓個體是否植入過晶片,若為未捕抓過的個體,則於大赤鼯鼠背部的皮下植入晶片,隨後採取嘴部及尾部含毛囊之毛髮,並進行形質測量(頭長、體長、尾長、全長等)、秤量體重與體溫監測,如有排遺或發現體外寄生蟲時會進行採檢;當麻醉生效後30分鐘時,抽取約1.5 mL血液。當捕抓個體為重複捕抓時,如為成體時,則操作如同上述,但不進行皮下晶片植入及形質測量;若為幼體或亞成體時,則會進行形質測量以檢視其個體成長情形。若巢箱內為母子對時,為了降低對大赤鼯鼠母子的干擾,則使用氣體麻醉機進行麻醉,並只採取成年雌性個體約1.0 mL血液。自2020年7月起,如捕抓大赤鼯鼠為活動正常之成年個體,於其頸部繫上無線電發報器以追蹤其活動與巢位地點供後續研究分析進行活動範圍之研究。當上述操作結束時,將大赤鼯鼠置於寵物運輸籠內,待其甦醒後於原捕抓地進行野放。
