A list of the tracheophyte names accepted in "Opredelitel Vysshikh Rasteniy Yaroslavskoy Oblasti" (1986) [Guide to Higher Plants of Yaroslavl Oblast]. The dataset was compiled as a first step towards further processing of the modern checklist for Yaroslavl Oblast, Russia.

The dataset includes 1,041 accepted species names.

Several minor orthographic errors in either scientific names or their authors were corrected manually. Four names (i.e. Petasites frigidus (L.) Cass., Juncus alpinoarticulatus Chaix ex Vill., Juncus ranarius Song. & Perrier ex Billot, Mentha longifolia (L.) Nathh.) were not automatically cross-linked with GBIF backbone due to some discrepancies in indication of their authors. They were left as they are within the dataset, because these variants are commonly used. The single accepted variety, Potamogeton natans var. terrester (A.Braun) Aschers. & Graebn., was excluded from the dataset.
