Checklist of vascular plants of the landscape reserve of national importance «Sahy» (Kherson region, Ukraine)

Study Extent

The landscape reserve «Sahy» is located in the territory of Kherson district, Kherson region in the landscape reserve «Sahy» of the state forestry of the Research Forestry of the State Enterprise «V.M. Vinogradov Steppe Branch of UkrNRILGA» in blocks 2-9. It was allocated for the purpose of preservation in the natural state of the typical for Lower Dnipro sands nature area with its unique natural objects: primary sandy steppe of native herbaceous vegetation with a characteristic relief, staked and artificial plantations of coniferous and deciduous species, lakes, nesting places and other fauna.

Sampling

Recording and identification of vascular plants with using road-field methods.

Quality Control

The identification of vascular plant species was held with morphological methods at the field and in the Kherson State University Laboratory of Plant Ecology and Environmental Protection. Coordinates of records were checked using Google Earth service. Data cleaning using OpenRefine.

1. Field sampling.
2. Recording and identification of vascular plants.
3. Completing of checklist of vascular plant.
4. Data post-processing according to the Darwin Core standards.
5. Data checking and cleaning in OpenRefine.
