The taxonId in the report represents the Gbif taxonId.

Goal of izeltlabuak.hu is to protect our natural values, create a harmonic relationship between wildlife and human, explore and celebrate the beauty of biodiversity and promote the citizen science through monitoring.

On this platform, users have the opportunity to document their arthropod observations complete with photos, geolocation data, and other pertinent information. Professionals also contribute by identifying the recorded arthropods. Essentially, the platform functions as a monitoring service.

This report includes all observations with the following criteria:

- authors set their license to CC0, CC-BY, or CC-BY-NC

- determined or validated to at least species level by an expert of the area

- location is set to the observation

- observed in its natural habitat (not in zoo, or garden center that imports plants, or terrarium, or similar environment)

- was recorded before 2025-06-19

Purpose

On izeltlabuak.hu users can record their arthropod observations. These records can be utilized for various scientific and educational purposes. The platform's capabilities extend further, as it automatically generates distribution maps for species based on the aggregated user data. These maps serve as a crucial tool for identifying shifts in the distribution of invasive species and enhancing our understanding of the distribution patterns of all arthropod species within the country. Additionally, these recorded observations stand as invaluable resources for scientific research and educational activities.
