Some notes to the flora of the "Cretaceous Flora" - department of Ukrainian Steppe Nature Reserve

Study Extent

The research was conducted between July 30 and August 1, 2019. By reconnaissance and detailed route methods we surveyed the petrophytic-steppe areas of the cretaceous slopes and pine forests from the village of Zakitne to the village of Kryva Luka and from the village of Kryva Luka to the village of Piskunivka. This dataset was prepared (correctly organized according to Darwin Core standards) and published with the help of the project "Preservation of data on biodiversity of Ukraine during the Russian occupation" funded by "Documenting Ukraine" initiative. The initiative is financed by the Institute for Human Sciences in Vienna (https://www.iwm.at/).

Sampling

The location of the species was recorded during the establishment of the site for geobotanical description. Geotagging was done using a GPS navigator.

Method steps

1. Conducting of field survey on the previousely chosen routes and areas.
2. Making of geobotanical descriptions.
3. Georeferencing with the help of GPS device.
4. Organizing of the dataset.

Dataset consists of finds of vascular plants (Pinopsida, Magnoliopsida and Liliopsida classes).

The dataset consists of finds from department of Ukrainian Steppe Reserve - "Cretaceous Flora" reserve, namely - slopes of the right bank of the Siverskyj Donets river on the border of Lymanskyj and Slovyanskyj districts of Donetsk administrative region of Ukraine.
